According to the Interior Ministry, 350 soldiers of Pakistan Army, who are already stationed in Islamabad, will assume the security of the red-zone and all the other sensitive places, after consultation with the civil administration.

Pak-Army troops are already positioned in the Margalla Hills surroundings.

Sources told that the military has been kept on stand-by, which can take to any position upon the request of district administration, while troops can also patrol at the Shahrah-e-Dastoor and around the red-zone during night time.

On the other hand, political opponents have strongly criticized the Government for calling military in the federal capital.
