LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) official Mehmood-ur-Rasheed has said that no patriotic person would use tones and issue statements like the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain, ARY News reports on Tuesday.

Speaking to media here, Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said that the Punjab Assembly condemns the statements made by Altaf Hussain. He inquired that why the MQM Chief couldn't highlight the issues when he was in power with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for five years.

He added that issuing such statements during these times is a conspiracy to harm Pakistan.

PTI official, while speaking against Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, said that he only knows to perform theatrics in front of media. He added that conditions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are far better than Punjab.

Mehmood-ur-Rasheed claimed that the people in KP province will soon feel revolution.

"People travelling in helicopters cannot control inflation and they only enjoy air cruises", he added.

He had arrived here to condole the family of a vegetable seller who expired from a cardiac attack after receiving a five thousand rupee fine from the Lahore Magistrate.
