Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed party members to maintain a strict stance on terms of reference (TORs) of the Panama Papers inquiry, said reliable sources. The PPP chairman finalized party policy in this regard after consultation with former president Asif Ali Zardari.

It was further reported that Bilawal instructed PPP leaders to stay firm on their draft of TORs.

“There is no ambiguity that the process of accountability should be initiated with PM’s family,” sources quoted the PPP chairman as saying.

Bilawal also reportedly directed for not taking any stance that could give away the impression of friendly ‘opposition’.

The Sharif family is under fire at home after Panama Papers leaks that prompted corruption allegations against it.

The leaked Panama Papers, comprising 11.5 million documents from Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca, exposes how some of the world’s most powerful people have secreted their money offshore, and also implicated Sharif’s sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz.
