Shaan Shahid is one Pakistani actor who is known to speak his mind whenever and wherever he wants. Shaan Shahid has stated in the past that he would not work in a Bollywood film and has also taken to task Pakistani actors such as Fawad Khan and Mawra Hocane who have chosen to star in the Indian film industry. Now, Shaan has spoken out against Pakistanis who are ‘pro-India’ and questioned their silence on Shiv Sena’s recent violent protests.

Shaan was most recently involved in a dispute with Mawra Hocane on social media. It had all began with the movie Phantom, in which Pakistan was portrayed as a terrorist country by director Kabir Khan. Further controversy had ensued when Saif Ali Khan had made remarks against Pakistan, which fueled responses from Hamza Ali Abbasi and Shaan Shahid himself. Mawra had chosen to support the movie in a subliminal way, prompting a critical status from Shaan. He called for a ban on the actress, which resulted in a bitter open letter from Mawra.

War of words does not end between Shaan and Mawra Hocane

Is Shaan targeting fellow Pakistani artists such as Mawra Hocane, Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malick and Ali Zafar again with his latest status? He does make some valid points, since all artists who have worked in the Indian film industry have yet to respond and condemn Shiv Sena for their atrocious activities.

Recently, Shiv Sena have stepped up their anti-Pakistan protests and threats by forcing Pakistani artists such as Ghulam Ali and Atif Aslam to cancel their concerts in India. Most recently, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan were also made the target of their threats.
