LA PAZ: A 24-year-old Polish nun was found apparently stabbed to death at a Catholic mission in central Bolivia and two suspects were arrested, media citing police said on Wednesday.
The woman “was found with multiple stab wounds” at the mission in the central city of Cochabamba, police commander Gualberto Diaz was quoted as saying by the Catholic news agency ANF.
She was found in premises of the Congregation of the Servants of the Mother of God, he said.
“She is a Polish national” and was working with the Catholic group as a volunteer, he added.
He said police arrested two people in connection with the woman’s death and suspected the killing was the consequence of a “robbery or attempted rape.”
