NYPD officials share community policing tips

According to a press release by U.S. Consulate General Karachi, the panel discussion on community policing was held by Lieutenant Adeel Rana and Detective Elvis Vukelj of the NYPD.

Lieutenant Rana said that Karachi and New York both are dynamic mega-cities with diverse populations, and police in both cities face similar challenges.

He added that NYPD want to share our knowledge of community policing in the hope that our counterparts here can learn from those experiences.

Rana and Vukelj are members of the Muslim Officer’s Association and have extensive experience working with immigrant communities in New York, the release read.

“They are showcasing the positive impact of American Muslims in the United States”, the release added.
