One can't cut off from 'neighbors', says Pervez Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed has said that one cannot cut off from his 'neighbors' and the people of India voted for Modi, talks will have to be held with him. He added that the military well understands the national interests and so it has not at all interrupted – ARY News reports.

According to details, Pervez Rasheed said that one cannot pursue a better future, sticking to the bitter past. He added that everyone has to respect, whatever decision the people make and the Indian people voted for Narendra Modi, Pakistan will have to talk to the same person.

Rasheed said that the military well understands the national interests and so it has not made any interruption. He said those with Musharraf's mind-set witnessed that he eventually bowed before Vajpai.

Speaking about Geo TV controversy, the Information Minister stated nobody to violate the law; cable operators do not have a right to switch-off any channel. He expressed his hopes that the cable operators will refrain from violating the law, for it is not their job to decide as to which channel should be banned.

When asked to comment on Imran Khan, Pervez Rasheed declined saying that it is better to ignore the statements of the PTI Chairman.

Praising the efforts of outgoing Karachi Police Chief, he said that Shahid Hayat strived for the peace in Karachi, while the CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and Sharjeel Memon kept receiving the credit of all his efforts.
