THARPARKAR: The miseries of drought-hit Thar victims continue to plague them as another child died in the district, ARY News reported on Monday.
The death toll in the famine-hit region has reached 164. Some reports also revealed that no lady doctor was deployed in the district.
The child who died today was admitted at a hospital in Mithi.
Earlier on Sunday, the WHO released its report on Thar, stating non-provision of health facilities as core reason of deaths in the arid district.
It said only two Tehsil hospitals existed in Tharparkar, while number of health centres in the district was also only two.
