The newborn child who died was admitted at a Civil Hospital Mithi.
The district administration said at least 55 children are still under treatment at the hospital in Mithi.
Several children are being treated at hospitals in different villages including Diplo, Chachro and Islamkot. The provincial health department has confirmed deaths of over 600 children in Tharparkar in last eight months.
Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had issued a show-cause notice to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and party leader Manzoor Wassan last week, questioning their handling of Thar situation.
However, the PPP chairperson withdrew his notice on Saturday on grounds that the internal party inquiry was underway on the issue and any decision will be taken after its conclusion.
