One soldier martyred in cross-border firing from terrorists

RAWALPINDI: A soldier of Pakistan Army was martyred on Tuesday in firing of terrorists from across the border on Pakistani Border post in recently cleared area around Mustil Pass, an important passage from Afghanistan into Rajgal valley, Khyber Agency.

Namaz-e-Janaza of Naib Subedar Azher Ali was offered at Peshawar Garrison. Body of the martyred will be taken to his native town where he would be laid to rest with full military honour.

This should be noted that Lieutenant Arsalan Alam was also martyred in a cross-border firing in Khyber Agency’s Rajgal valley on September 23.

The officer was commanding a recently established border post after the Pakistan Army successfully carried out Khyber-4 operation in the valley when he came under cross-border firing. As result of the attack, the 22-year-old officer embraced martyrdom,
