One terrorist killed 22 suspects arrested as Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad continues

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed one terrorist and arrested 22 suspects in raids across Pakistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad on Thursday, ARY News reported.

Punjab Rangers arrested 10 suspects and recovered huge cache of ammunition and explosive material during operations in different cities of the province.

Spokesman for media wing of Pakistan armed forces, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said Pakistan Rangers Punjab conducted search and sanitization Operation in DG Khan, Rajan Pur, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Attock and arrested the suspects.

He said, separately, Balochistan Frontier Corps and intelligence agencies conducted search operation in Andoor, Ketch area of Balochistan.

“One terrorist was killed while 12 suspects were apprehended. One FC soldier got injured in exchange of fire with terrorists. Cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession,” said DG ISPR.

Pakistan Army last month launched a new counter-terror operation named ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’ (رَدُّالفَسَاد) across the country.

The operation aims at indiscriminately eliminating residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring security of the borders.

As a result of this operation, hundreds of suspects have been arrested and several terrorists killed so far.
