MULTAN: Chief of Taliban committee for peace talks, Maulana Samiul Haq, has warned of dire consequences in the country if operation was launched in tribal areas, ARY News reported Thursday.
Addressing a press conference in Multan here, Maulana said those talking about operation will first flee, once operation was launched.
He reiterated that operation was not in favour of the country. Maulana Sami warned that the fire will spread the entire country. He said Taliban had demanded the release of non-combatants elderly persons, women and children.
He said missing persons should be produced as the Supreme Court had been seeking their appearance.
Maulana said it was the Taliban who had announced ceasefire, instead of the government.
