BAJAUR AGENCY: More than 200 terrorist have been killed in the ongoing operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ of Pakistan Army against militants in North Waziristan. The Army took the control of Mamond, tehsil of Bajaur Agency after 10 years hoisting Pakistani flag in the region, ARY News reported.
According to ISPR, Army gunship helicopters killed 15 terrorists in Zartatangi mountain heights, East of Miranshah, on Wednesday night. It was one of the main communication centers of terrorists.
It further stated that in a separate sniper action, 8 Uzbeks were killed around Miranshah while planting IEDs on the Miranshah-Mirali road. The military troops have cordoned off those areas in North Wazirstan Agency where terrorists are hiding, the statement said. The terrorists attempts to flee from the area have been foiled, it added.
Huge number of troops along with jet fighter aircrafts have been deployed in North Waziristan adjacent to Afghan border to launch offensive against militants.
