Opposition agreed upon saving constitution, democracy: Khursheed Shah

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader, Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the opposition is agreed upon saving the constitution, democracy and the parliament, while it is up to the government how it has to tackle the situation administratively, ARY News reported.

Khursheed Shah chaired a meeting of the opposition parties here on Tuesday and discussed different aspects of the current political scenario.

Talking to media after the meeting, the Leader of the Opposition said, “We all are agreed upon saving democracy, constitution and the parliament, yet it is up to the government how it has to deal with the situation administratively”.

“We are also ready for talks with Imran Khan and Dr Tahir ul Qadri, to resolve the issue politically”, he added.

Shah said that currently the opposition is not in a position to give any suggestion or guarantee to the government.

“Opposition parties have decided to safeguard the democracy, yet nobody knows about the fate of the government”, said the Opposition Leader.
