TOP NEWS

KARACHI: Women members of the opposition parties in the Sindh Assembly started protesting in the session when the special advisor to Chief Minister for culture and tourism Sharmila Farooqi started answering the questions in place of provincial ministers, ARY News reports.

Deputy Speaker in the Sindh Assembly Shehla Raza is presiding over the session of the house in Karachi on Monday (today).

MPA of Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) Sehar Abbasi, during the question hour, objected over the fact that the provincial advisor was not allowed to answer the question  under the new rules of the assembly.

She said that the ministers and parliamentary secrataries are only allowed to answer questions in the house. "The rules do not state that special advisors can reply questions during the session", she added.

Shehla Raza, while allowing Sharmila Farooqi to answer the questions, gave the ruling and claimed it as a discretion of the speaker.
