ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Friday riposted to all attempts of opposition parties of making a unified front against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

In a video message, the federal Minister made it clear that the government had no objection over all parties conference (APC), “Opposition can call as many APCs as they wish, it does not make any difference.”

The government’s sole objective is to develop Pakistan and eliminate corruption; “the accountability process will continue indiscriminately countrywide,” Fawad reiterated.

Targeting his political opponents, he retorted, those who had been involved in white collar crimes, their faces have grown pale with fear. “People who have not done any wrong should not be scared,” he added.

Opposition did not have a leadership nor any vision, Fawad slammed.

Earlier in the day, he tweeted that legal counsel of Nawaz Sharif, Khawaja Haris, is a very senior lawyer, “if he had not taken millions of rupees as fees, then he would have also admitted that Nawaz should be sentenced.”

He added that unfortunately, such foul proof cases take years to be concluded.

The Minister also hinted that more than 50 corrupt people will go to prison.

Yesterday, PML-N spokesperson, Marriyum Aurangzaib while taking an aim at Fawad Chaudhry for his comments on the ongoing graft references against the Sharif family, remarked that there was one adjudication going at the accountability court and the other was set up by Fawad Chaudhry.

During a TV interview, Marriyum, in her sharp criticism of the ruling party commented, “Imran Khan’s whole cabinet is still mentally sitting on the D-Chowk.”
