ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz said on Monday that consultation to conduct military operation in Waziristan is underway but the option of negotiation isn’t discarded yet, ARY News reported.
A seminar was organized in Islamabad by Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SPDI) on the topic of sustainable development on Monday.
Speaking to media on the occasion, Sartaz Aziz said the recent incidents of terrorism have affected the dialogue process. He said political leadership will also be taken into confidence regarding the operation or talks.
The Advisor said he talked US President Barrack Obama regarding drone attacks during his visit to US after which there wasn’t any drone attack for 60 days.
He informed that India has been asked for details regarding killing of Pakistani prisoner in Jammu.
Talking about the meeting with Indian counterpart in Maldives, Sartaj Aziz said discussion over situation at Line of Control (LoC) was conducted during the meeting.
