ORRI: Your finger can be your smartphone

Hong Kong based start-up Origami Labs is looking to change the way we interact with our mobile phones with the release of its innovative new wearable product ORII this month.

A Kickstarter project, ORII is the world’s first voice-powered smart ring that turns your finger into a smart phone.

Just by touching your ear you can make calls, send messages, set reminders, or anything else that Siri or Google Assistant can do for you.

ORII uses bone conduction to send sound along your finger and into your ear, giving the magical spy-like experience of listening to something through your finger. This technology is proven, tested, and used in medical-grade hearing aids. ORII will send clear audio with complete privacy along your finger.

ORII is built to work seamlessly with your phone’s voice assistant. Just long-press ORII’s CapSense button to wake up Siri and Google Assistant. Then use the dual noise-cancelling microphones to tell your voice assistant how they can help you.

It is most useful to have it in a ring unlike having it on your phone or in a smart speaker. Now you can easily take care of those daily tasks while keeping your phone in your pocket.

ORII is durable, lightweight, and designed to be worn comfortably on the hand all day. It is worry-free because it’s splash-proof and made of scratch-resistant anodized aluminum. It comes in three sleek colors, including sandblasted silver, metallic dark gray and matte black, which could fit in any different outfits.

Unlike a Bluetooth headset, you can wear ORII all day without the discomfort of having something in your ear. Lightweight and worn on your hand, it’s always ready when you are.

At work or at play, ORII helps you stay focused on the people you’re with by filtering notifications and making calls and messaging more discreet. Now you can forget about digging through your bag, and just touch your ear and take care of business.

ORII is designed by award winning Italian product designer Andrea Ponti, who has organized numerous exhibits and events on the theme of product design between Italy and Japan. Ponti currently designs for various global companies.

ORII will shipped worldwide and the first batch of the ring is estimated to be delivered in February 2018.
