ISLAMABAD: Failing to keep its word, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), despite various assurances, has still not paid the outstanding dues of Rs 7 billion to the Pakistan State Oil (PSO), ARY News reported Friday.
The PSO has now refused to continue fuel supply to the PIA. Sources informed that PIA owed over Rs 7 billion amount to the PSO, adding the latter will now halt fuel supply to PIA from this evening.
PIA has directed its operation staff in Islamabad and Lahore to carry additional fuel with flights while flying to Karachi.
Sources said the MD PIA had assured numerous times to paid outstanding dues, but to no avail.
