A landslide in Azad Kashmir claimed six lives in Azad Kashmir.

The River Chenab has been flowing at very high flood at different places in Punjab as the raging waters have developed breaches on the embankments at four points.

A large number of persons sustained injuries and several still said to be trapped under rubbles in building collapse incidents in various cities of Punjab.

A monsoon system over India generating existing spell of rainfall on Punjab, Azad Kashmir and other adjacent regions leaving dozens people dead in the calamitous downpour.

A prolonged spell of devastating rainfall played havoc in the region including losses of life, property while the rain also unleashed severe civic problems for the citizens.

A house collapse incident in Chishtian caused several deaths in a family.

The monsoon system however has weakened on Friday evening and the Met office said the spell was likely to subside after 24 hours.
