Pakistani band Overload’s frontman Farhad Humayun passes away
Farhad Humayun, the lead singer, drummer, and founder of Pakistani band Overload has passed away, early on Tuesday.
The unfortunate news of his demise was announced by Overload’s Facebook page.
The official statement from the band’s page read, “The magnificent Farhad Humayun left us for the stars this morning. Stoic in the face of challenges, uncompromising in his values, generous to a fault, witty as hell! Fadi was far too ahead of his time, both in spirit and art.”

“He would want us to celebrate his life, so we request his family, friends and fans to honour him and say a prayer for him today. We can almost hear him say these words by David Bowie: “I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring”. Godspeed our gentle giant and thank you for creating a Riot.”
Back in 2018, the Neray Aah singer had revealed that he had a brain tumour. He wrote, “Dear friends, family, fans, it was about two weeks ago that I was diagnosed with a brain tumour due to which I suffered a seizure. I have been lucky to find the greatest surgeon in the world to operate on me but it has not been easy.”
Fans and friends have taken to social media to pay respect to Farhad Humayun and his band following the news of his demise.

I had a lot of common friends with Farhad and remember him helping me and coaching with voice overs in his studio many many years ago. That was such a fun day. He was so kind and so generous.
