LAHORE: Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly, Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed has submitted a resolution for immediate conduct of Local Bodies (LB) elections in the House on Monday – ARY News reports.
Talking to media on this occasion, the Opposition Leader stated that the decision of the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan should be acted upon by immediately conducting the LB polls in the province.
He stated that if the resolution was bulldozed on the basis of majority than the provincial government will be exposed before the people.
Commenting on Taliban issue, Mehmood said that the Federal Government should take all the political parties into confidence prior to any advancement in this regard.
Moreover, he opposed the celebration of Basant Festival, saying that the kite flying will cost several innocent lives.
