According to a PAF Spokesman, Flight Lieutenant Umar Shahzad lost his life when his training aircraft crashed near Jamrud.
Air Headquarters have formed an inquiry board to investigate the cause of the air crash.
In March 2015, two PAF pilots were killed when their jet crashed during a training mission in Dera Ismail Khan.
The spokesperson had said that a Mirage aircraft, while on a routine operational training mission, crashed south of Dera Ismail Khan.
A board of inquiry was also ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.
