SARGODHA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Shareef said the role of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was vital in defence of the country, ARY News reported Wednesday.
The COAS was the chief guest at a ceremony at Mushaf Mir Airbase in Sargodha to induct a batch of F-16 fighter jets into PAF fleet. Gen. Shareef said Pakistan Army would stand alongside PAF, whenever needed.
He said the Pak Air Force met up to the expectations of masses in this testing time.
Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt said induction of new fighter jets will help tackling internal and external threats.
“We will continue fighting foreign aggression despite difficulties,” said the air chief marshal.
