Pak-India foreign secretaries to meet in Islamabad on Aug 25

ISLAMABAD: Foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India will hold talks in Islamabad on August 25, ARY News reported.

The meeting was scheduled after Indian Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh spoke to Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry over the telephone today afternoon.

During the telephonic conversation, the foreign secretaries agreed to start dialogue process in Islamabad.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, it is necessary to initiate the result-oriented dialogue process to furthering the Prime Ministers commitment of maintaining good relations between the two countries.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, who is on official visit of United States nowadays had hinted about the Pak-India dialogue some days ago.
