Pak-India talks on Siachin issue currently suspended: Foreign Ministry

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has told that the Pak-India talks on Siachin are currently suspended, whilst there is no airport in Pakistan controlled area of Siachin glacier – ARY News reports.

According to details, Federal Minister, Khurram Dastagir while briefing the session of the National Assembly on Friday, told that India is violating the agreement signed in 2008 pertaining to the release of prisoners.

He added that Pakistan frees Indian detainees upon the completion of their terms, but India rearrests Pakistanis completing their sentences, by lodging different other cases.

Dastagir told that India is not working for the release of Pakistani prisoners.

The House was further told that there is no airport in Pakistan controlled region of the Siachin glacier.
