Pak-Iran gas pipeline faces difficulties over US sanctions

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid khaqan Abbasi has stated that due to US sanctions the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project is still facing difficulties, ARY News reported.

While addressing the energy crisis conference the Petroleum Minister has said that the Pak-Iran gas project will be complied at any cost.

He also said that the Irani gas is still 20 percent cheaper than LNG.

He declared the report of SDPI on gas price as an irresponsible act. He also said that if the project was completed earlier than an annual budget of 1 billion dollars could have saved over furnace oil.

While answering a question he revealed that though LNG gas is the most expensive but keeping in view our needs the LNG project will be completed on fast track basis.
