ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army will assist anti-polio campaign in extremism affected ares to make it successful, ARY News reported.
This was decided at a meeting held in Rawalpindi on Thursday to coordinate details of the campaign with particular emphasis on security and access to affected areas. The meeting was attended by representatives from World Health Organization (WHO), Federal and provincial ministers and FATA Secretariat.
The meeting focused on the measures to make anti-polio campaign successful to make Pakistan Polio free.
It is pertinent to mention that following the emergence of several polio cases in the country traveling restriction may be imposed on Pakistan from different countries.
