Pakistan Army observes Youm-e-Shuhada today

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army is observing Youm-e-Shuhada (Day of Martyrs) on Wednesday (today) to pay tribute to the sacrifices rendered by its soldiers in the line of duty, ARY News reports.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in his message on Youm-e-Shuhada, said that the civil-military relations will not be allowed to be weaken. He added that the entire nation is with the military. 

"The blood of our martyrs awakens the spirit of national defence within the hearts of the soldiers", he added.

A central function of the day will be held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) here in Rawalpindi this evening where the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif will address the ceremony.

The families of the martyrs along with retired and serving soldiers have also been invited to attend the ceremony as well.
