Pakistan Army supports peace efforts, says COAS
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said Pakistan Army backs all kind of efforts for peace, ARY News reported.
Addressing a gathering to observe ‘Youm-e-Shuhuda’ on Wednesday, the COAS said rebellions must acknowledge Pakistan and come into its fold.
“Pakistan Army has all the capabilities to cope with rebels,” General Sharif said, adding army, police and security institutions had rendered various sacrifices for defence of the country, which could not be ruled out.
He maintained that Pakistan army had kept an eye on each internal and external threat.
