Pakistan attaches great importance to relations with Middle East: Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security, Sartaj Aziz said on Sunday that Pakistan is not favoring any particular country of Middle East, ARY News reported.

While addressing to Pakistani Ambassadors for Middle Eastern countries at Foreign Office, Islamabad, Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan gives much importance to the relations with Middle Eastern countries and working to promote bilateral trade cooperation.

A 3-day conference to review the scope of relations with Middle Eastern countries has started in Islamabad on Sunday.

The conference will focus on the measures needed to be taken to further strengthen Pakistan's ties with Middle East, especially in trade, investment and energy sectors.

The conference is being attended by Pakistani envoys stationed in the Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Kuwait and Iran.
