Pakistan beat Oman 8-0 in Asian hockey

INCHEON: Asian Games defending champions Pakistan beat minnows Oman 8-0 in their final match in Incheon, South Korea, ARY News reported on Saturday.

Pakistan has already qualified for the semifinals and remained invincible till its final match in Pool B against Oman.

In the final Pool match Pakistani Captain Muhammad Imran, Abdul Haseem Khan and Muhammad Irfan scored two goals each while Muhammad Dilber and Muhammad Umar Bhutta  scored one goal each.

Pakistan in its earlier match beawt arch-rivals India by 2-1 and qualified for the hockey semi-finals at the Munhak Hockey Stadium.

Pakistan, India and South Korea have already qualified for the semi-finals. India will face South Korea, while Pakistan’s opponents will be decided after Malaysia and Japan’s match today.
