Pakistan concerned over attempts to disrupt Pakistanis’ events in India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday expressed concerns over attempts to disrupt functions organized in respect of prominent Pakistani personalities on visit to India, said the Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan in a press statement.

“Recently, a cultural event in Mumbai by Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali was cancelled because of threats from a Hindu fundamentalist organization,” noted the FO.

“Attempts were also made to disrupt a function in Mumbai organized for Khurshid Kasuri, former Foreign Minister of Pakistan.”

The FO urged for a need to ensure that such incidents do not reoccur.
