Pakistan concerned over sale of advanced military hardware to India
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan says it is deeply concerned over sale of advanced military hardware to India, as they undermine strategic balance and stability in South Asia.
Taking note of US-India joint statement issued from White House, Foreign Office spokesperson said the joint statement has failed to address key sources of tension and instability in the region.
Spokesperson said Pakistan stands ready and committed to resolve all outstanding disputes, especially Jammu and Kashmir, with India through peaceful means.
He said that any attempt to equate the peaceful indigenous Kashmiri struggle with terrorism and to designate individuals supporting the right to self-determination as terrorists is unacceptable.
“Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to support peaceful struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination as promised by the UN Security Council and international community”, he said.
