Pakistan to continue support of Kashmir’s freedom movement: envoy

NEW YORK: Pakistan said that it will continue to support the freedom movement of the Kashmiri people, ARY News reported on Saturday.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to United Nations Maleeha Lodhi, speaking at the UN, said that more than 100 Kashmiris were killed whereas several have been blinded and injured by the use of pellet guns being used by Indian forces in the past two months.

Lodhi said that that the non-implementation of UN resolutions on the dispute is a failure of the organization.

Pakistan’s representative said that Kashmiri people have the right to self determination.

She stated that the Kashmir and Palestine were both incomplete UN agendas. She said that the international community has to support the right of self determination for the people of Kashmir and Palestine.

Lodhi said that occupation of foreign lands in the 21st century is lamentable.
