Pakistan Day parade cancelled due to security concerns

ISLAMABAD: Federal Government of Pakistan has decided to cancel the Pakistan Day Parade of the armed forces of Pakistan on 23rd March for the sixth time due to security concerns, ARY News reports on Sunday.

According to sources, the decision was taken while keeping the law and order situation into consideration.

The armed forces parade was last held in 2008 under the rule of General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf.

23rd March Parade was not held a single time in the five year governance of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and now it is being cancelled for the first time in the first year of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz's governance as well.
