Pakistan, Egypt agree to revitalize ties in different sectors

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Egypt have agreed to revitalize their ties in economic, trade and investment sectors for mutual benefit of the two countries.

The understanding came during a meeting between Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry on the sidelines of Regional Security Summit in Manama.

It was decided to convene Joint Ministerial Commission at an early date in Islamabad to undertake a comprehensive overview of ongoing cooperation and set future directions.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts of Pakistan in fighting terrorism.

Sartaj Aziz also met Chairman King Faisal Foundation and Centre for Research and Islamic Studies of Saudi Arabia Prince Turki Al Faisal and discussed extending educational ties between two countries.
