This was stated in meeting between Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain and the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Hunardoost.
Rana Tanveer apprised the envoy about the efforts made by Pakistan to secure its borders for the security of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that the project will have far-reaching impact which will affect the entire region , and even Iran can benefit from it.
It was decided to improve cooperation in the fields of defence, energy and technology and various proposals and suggestions were decided in this regard.
The Iranian ambassador expressed interest in enhancing bilateral and regions relation. They also agreed to mutually benefit from each other’s expertise to tackle terrorism and money laundering. They also expressed the need for direct flights between Tehran and Islamabad.
