The statement issued from Navy sources maintains that the incident happened on Saturday night.
The Navy spokesperson said that no material loss took place and that the area was cleared for normal activities on the same day, celebrated as Pakistan’s Defence Day.
Inquiries and investigations by intelligence and other law enforcement agencies followed after the attack resulting in arrest of a number of aides of terrorists.
