He was speaking in a consultative meeting to discuss the The Trade in Services Agreement.
Federal Minister of Trade Khurram Dastagir has said that Pakistan is seeking new markets for its services exports.
He said that the government reviewing the terms and conditions of the proposed international agreement for boosting its services exports.
He said the government will take all stakeholders of services sector of Pakistan into confidence before signing the agreement.
“The services sector of the country is improving at a fast pace and there are vast opportunities for increase in exports. This is why recently the Services Trade Development Council was formed.”, Dastagir said.
The federal minister for trade and commerce said that Pakistan has excellent infrastructure for investment in financial, information technology, telecommunication and other sectors.
“54.6 % of Pakistan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) comprises of services sector”, he added.
