The cricketer made the statement during an interview on Wednesday.
“There is no cricketing talent in the country. I am still better than the players currently playing for Pakistan,” Afridi said.
The firebrand cricketer said that there is no issue if he was not selected in the Pakistan’s national team. He added that he was never a burden over the team.
“I have played with respect and will retire with respect,” he added.
He went on to say that a number of things have to be changed in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Pakistan’s current Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has also agreed on Afridi’s statement regarding dearth of cricketing talent in the country.
Afridi’s statement has stirred debates on social media websites while the people have voiced their opinions on Twitter regarding the views expressed by the former cricket captain.

So now #Afridi thinks only he’s talented in Pakistan and no one else! Yeah Right!

I agree with Afridi on this. There is not much talent in Pakistan these days. Harsh reality.

I think shahid Afridi is right that there is no talent in Pakistan. If there is talent so where it is?
