‘Pakistan higher education system weakest in the world’
Pakistan has been placed at the bottom of the list with a score of 9.2 out of 100.
There are several factors taken into consideration while ranking countries in the list. These include development of new institutes, access to higher education, provision of government funds, and efforts made to strengthen the system.
The United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK) are ranked first and second respectively. The USA scored a maximum 100. The two countries remain leading destinations for students from around the world.
It is interesting to note that India has been ranked 26 in the list, twenty-four positions ahead of Pakistan.
Experts argue that a weak education system in the country leads to a weaker economic system.
