Hockey: Pakistan leaves for Malaysia today to play Sultan Johor Cup

LAHORE: Pakistan Junior Hockey Team will leave for Malaysia on Friday to take part in the six-nations 2016 Sultan Johor Cup, ARY News reported.

The Pakistani contingent will comprise of 20 players and four officials.

The team will be leaving for Malaysia from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport in a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight.

Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, hosts Malaysia and England will contest in the six nations tournament.

India was to take part in the competition but the team withdrew from the tournament.

Pakistan will launch its title bid against New Zealand on 31st October.

The green shirts will play their second match against England on 1st November whereas their third match will be against hosts Malaysia on 2nd November.

Pakistan will take on Australia on 4th November and Japan on 5th November.
