Pakistan men’s hockey team reaches final of Asian Games 2014

INCHEON: Pakistan’s Men hockey team secured a berth in the final of Asian Games 2014 by defeating Malaysia after a thriller on Tuesday, ARY News reported.

The crowd witnessed a breathtaking competition between the two teams in which Green Shirts hold their nerves to beat Malaysia at penalty shootout.

Pakistan’s goal keeper Imran Butt saving four penalty strokes of the opponents played an important role in the victory of Pakistan.

The green shirts will take on India in the final scheduled on October 2 to defend their title. Victory in the final will allow Pakistan to make direct entry in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
