Pakistan military band enthralls audience at Int'l Military Festival Moscow

RAWALPINDI/MOSCOW: A 78-member tri-services military band of Pakistan along with 20 members of the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Chitrali/Khattak dance enthralled the audience by their spectacular performance at International Military Music Festival in Moscow, the ISPR said in a statement.

According to details, Moscow City is celebrating its 868th birth anniversary and the International Military Music Festival came as part of these celebrations.

The festival continued from September 6 to 13, during which Pakistan tri-services band performed at Sokolniki Park and played ceremonial and marching tunes including the National Anthem and patriotic songs. Performance of Pakistani band was acknowledged as the best and admired by all.

International Military Music Festival parade take place annually in the early September with best Russian and International military orchestras performing together at Red Square, Moscow for nine days.

The festival unites the best military bands, ceremonial units and folklore groups from different countries.

Owing to the festival, military musicians are considered as ambassadors of peace and mutual respect between the people representing the diversity of national artistic and military traditions.

Lieutenant General Zamir ul Hassan Shah, Adjutant General of Pakistan Army witnessed the closing ceremony of International Military Music Festival held yesterday.
