Speaking at a forum, Basit said Pakistan would continue movements by Kashmiris.

He said the leaderships in India and Pakistan were “determined” to pursue the peace process.

He called for a coordinated and a common approach to tackle issues like environment, water, trade, smuggling and terrorism.

Receently speaking at the Foreign Correspondents Club of South Asia, Basithad  said “We all are aware of those who seek to create unrest in Pakistan and destabilize the country.”
He said all such forces were bound to fail as the people of Pakistan were united to effectively counter anti-Pakistan subversive activities.

I think at present peace process (of Indo-Pak) is suspended, he added. “Let’s see if we are able to commence the dialogue process.”
