During weekly media briefing, FO spokesperson, Tasneem Aslam questioned that how a country involved in continuous violations of Security Council’s resolution can become its permanent member.

“India has been violating the UN resolutions on Kashmir”, she said. “International organizations are supposed to work in democratic manner”.

Ms Aslam categorically stated that any move aimed at affecting the balance of power in the region will prove to be harmful for regional stability.

Speaking about terrorism in Pakistan, the FO spokesperson said that the international fraternity has been informed about the involvement of foreign hands in terrorism here and that a military action alone will not suffice to root out this menace from Pakistan.
