Pakistan out of Junior Hockey World Cup

NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s junior hockey team wasn’t able to qualify for the quarter final stage of Junior Hockey World Cup, ARY News reported.

Pakistan played the last round match against Belgium on Tuesday at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, the match resulted in a tie by 2-2. 

Green shirts needed to win the match with the big margin to remain alive in tournament.

No goal was scored in the first half of the match. In the second half Mohammad Dilbar netted the ball twice for Pakistan but opponents equalized the goals.

Germany and  Belgium have qualified for the quarter final from Group A .

Earlier, defending champion Germany crushed Pakistan in a one sided match by 6-1.
