Pakistan preacher of peace in region: CM Usman Buzdar
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday said Pakistan was a preacher of peace in the region, ARY News reported.
“People of Pakistan will not let enemy’s agenda succeed. The enemy should understand that the nation is full of patriotic spirit,” Usman Buzdar said in a statement.
He said it was a need of the time to give priority to national stability and development.
The Punjab CM said Pakistan’s defence, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, was in strong hands.
Lauding the armed forces for downing Indian fighter jets, he said the forces gave a befitting response to the enemy’s casting evil eye on the country.
On Pakistan Day parade, the chief minister said the parade translated national sentiments. He said masses’ zeal and zest reflected their love for the Pakistan’s armed forces.
On March 23, Usman Buzdar had said that peace was the basic prerequisite for lasting development and progress.
The chief minister had said this while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers at Punjab House in Islamabad after he attended the Pakistan Day Parade.
CM Buzdar had said that the Pakistan Day ceremony was a manifestation of national passions and said that the defence of any country made it unconquerable from foreign aggression.
“If a country is safe from foreign aggression, it can dedicate more of its efforts toward internal stability and development”, he had said.
