Pakistan protests against LOC violation by India

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has lodged a protest with India over the violation of Line of Control (LOC) ceasefire which left four Pakistani civilians dead and three others wounded on Monday (today), ARY News reports.

Indian forces opened fire at working boundary in Sialkot region due to which four Pakistani civilians were killed whereas three others were wounded.

Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that Indian troops targeted Awan checkpost of Pakistan Army. ISPR further stated that Indian forces also opened fire at Nakhial, Karela, Keht Kantera. Hot Spring and Janrood sectors.

The Indian guns were silenced after the retaliatory fire by the Pakistani forces.

Residents of the area could not offer their Eid-ul-Azha prayers due to the cross boundary firing incidents.

The Foreign Office of Pakistan had also strongly condemned the firing carried out by the Indian Border Security Force.

It should be noted that India has violated the LOC ceasefire six times since the first of October this year.
